DENVER, CO —Northstar Commercial Partners was proud to provide the Broomfield SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics) team a large commercial space to utilize for a training today.
The training took place in a 350,000 SF, vacant industrial warehouse Northstar purchased last August, with plans work the site back into productivity and able to provide service to Broomfield and its residents in the coming months. The building is located on 20 acres of land off of Hoyt Street in Broomfield, CO.
“It has been a pleasure working with Northstar Commercial Partners, as they have allowed the Broomfield SWAT Team access to a commercial building within the City and County of Broomfield as a training venue. These types of training venues are few and far between and allow a variety of training options that we normally do not have access to. By having a training venue of this quality, it allows the team the ability to train in a way that prepares us better for the future,” commented Detective Justin Glantz of the Broomfield Police Department.
SWAT teams are law enforcement units that specialize in military-grade equipment and tactics in the United States. They are often used to handle riot control, violent confrontations with criminals, search warrants, and more recently they have become involved in the war on drugs and handled various terrorist attacks that have taken place on American soil.
“The safety and protection of Broomfield residents is a top priority, so Northstar feels privileged to use this space for the good of the people this way. Six months ago the space was sitting vacant and abandoned, and now, before we have even started renovations, the space is being used for good. I couldn’t be more thrilled,” commented Founder & CEO of Northstar, Brian Watson.
With space to practice essential tactics, strategies, and maneuvers, the Broomfield SWAT team of 16 officers, several team leaders, commanders, and negotiators can fine-tune their ability to better protect our communities.
“Being able to partner with Northstar Commercial Partners not only better prepares the team, it also allows the team to provide a higher standard of excellence to the citizens of the City and County of Broomfield,” concluded Glantz.
